The best makeup brushes

Am I the only one who has difficulty finding the right makeup brushes? Searching for brushes is a tedious, expensive thing. It takes looking at tons of reviews, finding the actual brush in stock, and if you’re like me, going to the store to see it.

I’m a very big visual person. I have to see something and touch something before I can commit to buying it, that’s probably why I hate online shopping. With makeup brushes, I prefer to go in store and feel the actual brush to see if it’s too soft or too harsh. Softer brushes don’t usually apply my makeup with enough coverage and harsh brushes irritate my skin.

Luckily, I found some brushes that are inexpensive and are perfect for applying my makeup. Real Techniques. I’d heard of it frequently, but never really paid much attention. I have very sensitive skin, so I felt makeup brushes are something I should spend the money on, for the sake of my skin.

Ulta regularly runs sales and you can often find the brushes for buy one get one free! The individual brushes range from $5 to $10, without a sale. You can also buy a kit with 5 brushes for $20. Definitely an investment I recommend.

I use the brushes for my foundation, powder bronzer, and blending my setting powder. Everything else, I use a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. I find the sponge provides the best coverage so it’s my go to for concealer.
